A musician's natural talent in playing an instrument ultimately suggests how their instrument will sound. But along the way, a musician should still consider choosing the right equipment. A cheap electric or acoustic guitar with bad strings rarely sounds good compared to quality guitar strings with branded guitars. The idea that musicians are only as good as their instruments is not necessarily true but the using the best guitar strings will significantly help any guitar player especially beginners.
